Mariko is a technology and strategic partner in WoolPass, a New Zealand platform creating traceability and trusted provenance for wool. WoolPass connects information created at the farm and shearing shed with the wool as it moves through the supply chain — preserving the evidence behind its provenance, quality, sustainability and production story, so that value remains connected to the fibre.
WoolPass demonstrates an important Mariko principle: trust should travel with the information.

Mariko EarthGrids combines distributed sensing, environmental data and resilient infrastructure to create local intelligence that continues to operate when conventional systems may not.

Reality2
Reality2 (R2) is Mariko's resilient communications and firmware platform. Instead of depending on one communications network, protocol or hardware platform, Reality2 creates a communications layer capable of using whatever paths are available.
Mesh, radio, cellular, satellite, Wi-Fi, wired networks and future communications technologies can become part of the same resilient fabric. Applications do not need to know how the information gets there.
R2 keeps it moving.

Thurisaz is Mariko's Trust Engine. Most information systems ultimately rely on reputation: who said it, which institution published it, whether the source is considered trustworthy.
Thurisaz approaches the problem differently. It treats a statement as a claim that must survive examination. Evidence is collected. Its provenance is preserved. Contradictions are identified. Alternative explanations are explored. The claim is actively tested and challenged.
The objective is not to decide whom to believe. It is to determine what the available evidence can support — a forensic, explainable and evidence-based approach to identifying truth in complex information environments.
